Google is ready to unveil its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones

It could again be 5th of October. A timing virtually identical to the launch of its first collection ( Pixel and Pixel XL ) in the fall of 2016.

According to this resources, the two flagships of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would be equipped with the future SoC (System on Chip) Snapdragon 836 signed Qualcomm. This is an improved version of the Snapdragon 835 that equips the latest high-end smartphones on the market.

Last year, the Mountain View Internet Company differentiated its first two Pixel models by selecting the SOC Snapdragon 821 (a declination of the Snapdragon 820 with higher CPU clock frequency).

The advantage could be similar with the Snapdragon 836: increased performance of the CPU and perhaps also the frequency of the GPU.

For the Pixel 2 model, it would be about 4 GB of RAM and speakers on the front.

The Pixel 2s terminal would display a screen of 4.97 inches defined in 1080p while Pixel 2 XL would be equipped with a screen of 5.99 inches in 1440p.

On the Google side, if the “Made by Google” is put forward, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would be manufactured respectively by HTC and LG.

Last year, the “Made by Google” event featured Google Home, Google Wi-Fi, Daydream VR headphones, Chromecast 4K and two Pixel mobile devices.

This year, the announcement of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL could be accompanied by a new Chromebook and a more compact version of Google Home.
