These days technological giant Google is developing a 7-inch tablet that can capture images in three dimensions and plans to produce about 4000 units prototypes from next month, the resources, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
This unit, which is part “Project Tango” from the Advanced Research Projects and Technologies Google group will have two rear cameras, infrared depth sensors and software that can capture accurate images of 3D objects, according to the resources.
Google Project Tango is a platform for cellular and Android tablets designed to monitor three-dimensional movement of the device as the user holds. Simultaneously, the device is able to create a map of the surrounding environment. The main product of the project, a smart phone prototype, was released in February and has similar sensors. The product is designed to create a 3D map of the space surrounding the user, the resources said.
