80% of mobile phones sold in 2015 will be smartphones

About 80 percent of phones sold in mature markets in 2015 will be smartphones(smartphones), while only 20 percent of these devices will be Windows-based terminals, according to forecasts from tech consultancy Gartner 

   Thus, the consultancy expects the operating system Microsoft is positioned in third place behind the platform of Google, Android, and Apple iOS .

   Also, for 2013, mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common device for users to access the network, according to Gartner estimates.

   The consultant has identified some technologies that will be strategic for organizations over the next two years as, among others, the personal cloud, which will gradually replace the computer as the place where they keep the content and form of access to services, shops application, the ‘Internet of things’ and strategies of ‘Big Data’.

   For Gartner Vice President David Cearley, l as companies have to make decisions about how to fit some of these technologies into their strategic plans for the near future.

These technologies are emerging amid a fusion of converging forces, which in themselves are innovative and disruptive and that together are revolutionizing business and society , changing old business models and creating new leaders.
