Just two weeks after Twitter announced the detection of a “sophisticated attack” that could have given to hackers personal information of about 250,000 users, Facebook has just announced the same.
The social network has acknowledged having undergone a series of cyber attacks by a group of hackers, but they have no evidence that user information may remain exposed .
“Last month, Facebook Security discovered that our systems were attacked sophisticatedly,” said the company in a post. “The attack took place when a number of employees visited the site of a mobile developer . “
With a billion active users worldwide, Facebook added that “not alone in this attack” , but other companies have suffered similar consequence.
