The Moore Farm Inn, Conway, South Carolina
This coastal inn was built in 1914 and sits on the foundation of the original home built in 1874 by the James Moore family. The first home burned in 1914 and was rebuilt that same year. The bed and breakfast is located about 15 miles out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Owned and operated by Harry and Cathy Pinner, the innkeepers offer fresh out of the oven cookies and scrumptious breakfasts. Amenities include house robes and whirl pool tubs in select rooms. Guests can enjoy a walk along the Waccamaw River or play in the ocean at Myrtle Beach. There are also nearby attractions such as the Horry County Museum and stores in downtown Conway. In addition, the innkeepers host a Murder Mystery weekend for guests seeking a little thrill and adventure.

At this early 1900’s South Carolina bed and breakfast, guests get a chance to stay at a Victorian inn located in the foothills of the mountains. The house is nestled on a ten-acre farm and owned by Julie and Jeff Pierce. This is one of the few inns that allow children and pets with advanced notice. Speaking of pets, there are a few farm animals that call this inn home such as a few miniature horses, llamas, a potbellied pig and a pigmy goat. Guests wake up to fresh coffee on the porch and hearty breakfasts featuring local produce and homemade delicacies. Things to do while at the farm inn include a trip to Lake Jocassee and a visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Clemson University is also near Salem, SC and visitors can attend events at Clemson such as football and basketball games.
Pleasant Lane Acres Bed and Breakfast, Clarks Hill, South Carolina
Originally built in the 1800’s and used as slave quarters, this bed and breakfast was lovingly restored by Don and Barbara Rupert in the late 1980’s. This rustic farmhouse is located in Edgefield County and has a front porch that runs the entire front length of the house. On the property, guests can take a long relaxing walk on one of the walking trails or sit by the pond bird watching. Since the innkeepers are animal lovers, visitors can bring their pets but must keep their pets in a kennel. People who stay at the inn can enjoy appetizers and full course meals upon request. Since the property is only about 20 minutes away from Augusta, the inn is convenient for golf spectators wanting to enjoy a cozy night while attending the US Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club.
