Second thrust from GDC 2013 for Nintendo and its console. If recently, with the announcement of Battlefield 4, DICE acknowledged that Wii U would not count on support from the Frostbite 3, its famous and spectacular Engine, Epic Games who is now recognized that the Unreal Engine 4 will not run on the console Nintendo.

In the past the company recognized that although they did not intend to bring the engine to Wii U if a customer decided to move a port of Unreal Engine 4 to Wii U could even make it. During GDC 2013, Rein asked whether or not the engine work in the console: “Hahaha No,” was his response . Apparently the room also laughed with the response and Rein continued: “I mean, sorry, that’s not really the right answer. We have the Unreal Engine 3 on Wii U and the engine continues to possess all kinds of powerful tools to create amazing games. The Unreal Engine 3 will not disappear because there is Unreal Engine 4, but our goal with this is the next generation of consoles. That’s where our energies are focused. If you want to make a game for Wii U have the Unreal Engine 3. No controversy, “ended the co-founder of Epic Games, Mark Rein.
