The donut reached the stratosphere, 32 kilometers above sea level, one of the layers that separate the earth from space
MEXICO CITY (15 / APR / 2015) .- On April 9th a group of scientists from Sweden made a big step in the pastry: send a donut into space.
According to the video posted on YouTube, using a weather balloon, scientists managed to place the dessert about 32 kilometers above sea level, ie in the stratosphere, one layer that separates our planet with space .
“They spent many months planning this, and we are pleased with the outcome of the project. We had permission to do so,” they said in the description.
This donut is not the only object which has been placed in space, also sent pieces of Lego, Hello Kitty dolls, pizza and even burgers.
