LG Electronics announced Monday that sales of its Optimus devices L have reached 10 million units .According to the company, this success is because consumers “seeking smartphones attractive and different, not everybody has that.”
Optimus L3, L5 and L7 first appeared at the Mobile World Congress 2012 and were presented as a new form of design philosophy by LG. After these three smartphones appeared L9, the latest device and larger, with a 4.7-inch screen.
“This milestone demonstrates the importance of elegant design, the comparative size and improved UX features smart devices” , says President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications, Jong-seok Park.
The style of the devices in the L series incorporate a “timeless” with fine details that differ from smartphones to other companies, says LG. This design philosophy is based on five components aesthetic seeking a more comfortable grip, a slimmer look, an intuitive system for the keys, adding metal details and create a unique way.
“While other manufacturers are putting all their efforts into one size for all phones, our strategy is the development of wireless products for all types of customers according to their needs and lifestyles . “
The smartphones Optimus range L offer characteristics, and applications such as large screens and QTranslator QuickMemo.QuickMemo allows users to create, copy and share a note with others using a single touch. Meanwhile, QTranslator translates words into 64 languages instantly with a single finger and whole sentences.
All models in the series Optimus L3, L5, L7 and L9 are available in over 50 markets worldwide.
