In recent times they have come to light different phones called “rugerizados” featuring a special design to resist or withstand exposure to various harmful elements such as water or dust. The fact is that the French company Decathlon soon sell a phone that has developed Quechua in cooperation with the firm Archos .It is a rugged phone , equipped and designed to withstand a lifestyle as busy. And it’s enclosure is designed to withstand shock, water, mud, sand or cold. Thus, the phone would become a tool essential for any lover of extreme sports , but also for all those who work under unfavorable conditions, outdoors or in very humid, dusty or cold environments.
Not the first time Decathlon commitment to mobile. But this time we are dealing with a special device. The new smartphone from Quechua is presented with a large multi-touch display up to five inches , ready to enjoy excellent performance and longer operational. In the engine room we found a processor with a quad-core architecture and ability to operate at a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz . This feature combines its potential with a 1 GB RAM , powerful enough to provide users a good experience when using applications, but also at the time of executing complex programs or video games with high graphical potential .
But this is not all, the smartphone of Quechua runs through one of the world’s most popular operating systems. Logically, we refer to the icons Google and specifically Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) , we guarantee access to key services Google through native applications like Google Search , Gmail ,Google Maps and YouTube , but also Google Play , the app store from which the user can download more programs and utilities to complete the functions of the team.
The device has integrated 4 GB memory to store various files (music, video, images …) and applications, but this capacity can be expanded with microSD memory cards . The battery has a capacity of 3,500 milliamps to offer, as the manufacturer, an important range of up to 22 hours talk time . As I indicated at the beginning, the smartphone is certified IP54 which makes it resistant to water and dust.
The device Quechua will sell for about 230 euros in the open market (probably through stores Decathlon), but so far no accurate data on the release date.
