The company said yesterday that, excluding regulatory impacts, revenues from Orange in Spain would have increased by 4.8% in the first six months of the year.
By business, revenues amounted mobile during this period to 1.618 million, an increase of 1% due to increased use of mobile broadband and increased revenue from MVNOs with which network has agreements.
In the fixed segment, revenues increased by 9.1% to 371 million. The attendant pointed out that business profitability has improved fixed “sustancialemnte”, with an EBITDA of 22 million, 120% more than in the first half of 2011.
At the end of June, the telco had more than 13 million customers, of which 11.71 million are mobile phone, representing an increase of 2.8%, and 1.323 million broadband, November 1 , 5% more.Regarding the mobile business, the company said contraton customers increased 7.1% to 67% of the total base.
As regards the second quarter, revenues were at the Orange 1,007 million euros, representing an increase of 2.5%, while EBITDA grew by 25.8% to 269 million euros.
By segment, revenues phones in the second quarter increased 1% to 821 million euros, while fixed income increased by 9.5% to 187 million euros.
