Opera has cut staff because of the transition to the new engine

Norway’s Opera Software has cut 91 jobs in connection with the change browser engine, reports The Next Web, with reference to the official documents.


According to the report of the company for the IV quarter of 2012, its staff by the end of 2012 included at least 91 staff in connection associated with the change of the engine.

Recall the recent Opera announced publicly renouncing own engine Presto and the intention to move their products to the open platform WebKit, used in Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
