Microsoft has presented the first version of its suite of Office 2013 Enterprise applications , compatible with Windows 8 computers, touch screens and devices ‘tablets’. The download includes integration with Skydrive and specialized programs for document management as Lync Server 2013 and SharePoint , among others.
The new Office comes loaded with new features dedicated both to use on computers with the latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 8 , as touch devices, mouse and stylus , as the company has said in a statement.
This version, which also opens possibilities to the world ‘tablet’, was launched last July, in an event organized by Microsoft. The company introduced a test version last October and this month has released the first official version of Office 2013 Enterprise.
The service package includes Office 2013 integration ofdocuments with Microsoft Skydrive cloud , so you can share all kinds of documents with different devices and users. A new feature has the ability to conduct group meetings with Lync 2013 , featuring whiteboards, notebooks and news services that are regularly updated.
In addition, the service offers the integration of its recent acquisition Skype , which has become the latest instant-messaging service replaces Windows Live Messenger, and VoIP calls to the company . This application incorporates its functionality to improve communication between users of Office 2013 and the management of virtual meetings.
The Enterprise version includes a suite of licenses for other specialized programs dedicated to document management, asExchange Server 2013, Lync Server 2013, SharePoint Server 2013, Project 2013 and Visio 2013.
The company will provide ongoing business support for all services that integrate with Office 2013, regular updates and operating controls. It also includes a security platform dedicated to protecting business data , such as preventing data loss, protecting against ‘malware’ and other cyber attacks and other protection applications dedicated to the cloud, as the autosave documents.
Office 2013 licenses are now available for purchase in stores. The Redmond has announced it will launch a downloadable version in the first quarter of 2013.
