Scientists at Tel Aviv University have created a new system that would be in the market in 2016
Scientists at the University of Tel Aviv through the startup «Store Dot” , have created a prototype of a charger capable of recharging the battery power of your smartphone in 30 seconds.
The company made a presentation at the conference Think Next Microsof t in which he showed how this system works on a Samsung Galaxy S4. They presented a video demonstration.
The StoreDot startup that emerged in nanotechnology department at the University of Tel Avid, has become a promising company that seeks to develop systems and technologies with great future as this new charger.
StoreDot has been developing organic semiconductors made from organic natural compounds called peptides or short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. This technology can be used, according to the company, to speed up load times, among other things.
The prototype is currently the size of a laptop charger, but the company says it will continue to work to reduce their size. The estimated cost will be greater than that of mobile chargers we use today.
The Israeli company has said it plans to make chargers for other smart phones and the marketing of these is planned for late 2016.
