Resource reports citing its sources, that the leading partners in the AMD video cards do not plan to submit graphics accelerators Radeon HD 7870-based chip Tahiti LE under its brand. Tahiti LE to be released to the market on November 27, and will not offer AMD’s reference design. Tahiti LE established as a limited edition models for certain markets to help AMD improve in the Holiday Season.
Previously, Club 3D Radeon HD accelerator introduced jokerCard 7870 , which corresponds to the characteristics Tahiti LE. Given the fact that the TUL is a contract manufacturer for the Club 3D, we can assume that the two brands owned by TUL, PowerColor and VTX 3D, also present accelerators Radeon HD 7870 Tahiti LE. Incidentally, all three of these brands are also the only ones who brought to market a dual-GPU Radeon HD 7990 accelerator (except HIS).
The Radeon HD 7870 Tahiti LE produced in limited editions, they are based on 28-nm chip Tahiti (Map Series 7900) since 1536 working stream processors, 256-bit GDDR5 memory and 2 GB of 925 MHz frequencies (975 MHz PowerTune) core and 6 GHz memory. The cost of these cards should be level with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 in performance by 15% higher.
