Flickr app receives major redesign for Android

Flickr, one of the image hosting site, announced this week that it has more than 112 million registered users, amounting to upward of 11 billion photos uploaded. That’s an impressive figure in its own right, and proves the site has its place among the many different alternatives in the market. It also received a major redesign, making the service even better online destination for your pictures and video.

This service is also introducing a number of new tools, including Magic View, which can identify the content of your photos and organize them accordingly. For example, if you upload a few hundred of landscapes, portraits and panoramas, Magic View will recognize this and lump them together automatically, making it easier to organize and categorize the photos you have.

The apps for iOS and Android have also been updated, making the experience as consistent as possible across different platforms. Flickr is making it easier to upload your photos to the service with a new Uploader for Mac and Windows. Flickr also offers 1TB of free storage to every user, so you’ll have more than enough space for all those selfies. It will be a good backup alternate too.
