Facebook launches its own Pinterest for Brands

By -

We have been talking for almost a year and Pinterest, the social network boards with photographs has been a real boom in the world of Social Media, which has captivated millions of users and, especially, has become a significant source of traffic .

With such credentials, much had taken Facebook to launch something similar. The social network does now, within its own platform, and under the name of Collections.

The idea of Collections, the new functionality that Facebook offers brands, is broadly similar to Pinterest , as you will see below:

Collections allows companies to publish their corporate profile a series of photographs, images of products … that will be displayed in the news feed when a friend users interact with them (or yourself) but not by default.

The good thing is functionality that provides the ability for users to press three buttons “Want”, “Collect” and “Like” . But in addition to allowing these functions, products brands may include a direct link to where to buy them. Do not you think all this very Pinterest?

So far Facebook has launched Collections only some brands like Victoria’s Secret, Pottery Barn, Michael Kors, Wayfair, Neiman Marcus, Fab.com and Smith Optics, in the U.S., but predictably, the tool will be extended soon to other markets and to all types of businesses.
