The Cielo , largest electronic payment in the country, announced on Tuesday a partnership with Facebook that will allow retailers to use customer relationship campaigns through the largest social network in the world.
The project, which comes into force on the 6th with 250 outlets in Greater Sao Paulo, allow tenants to make a campaign through social networking. Customers previously registered on the property page on Facebook will recommend it to friends via your wall.
The plan is that in the first quarter of 2013 the application to be extended to the whole country.
The goal of the partnership is that tenants use the mechanism to reward customers who register at the store (check in) and to recommend to friends, explained the president of Cielo, Romulo Dias. Thus, retailers can use the tool to campaign aimed to increase the frequency of customer transactions and average ticket.
“It’s like a digital word of mouth,” said Day told reporters. “The recommendation of friends is much more efficient than media campaigns.” According to the Facebook sources, Alexandre Hohagen, the portal aims to expand the concept pioneered in many countries.
Initially, the service will have no cost to the tenants, but the Cielo makes plans to get additional revenue.
“We did not start charging. Later, when the service is established, we decide what to do,” said the CEO of cards.
