The office of U.S. patents published Apple’s application to patent solar panels designed for the iPhone, iPod or iPad.
The strange thing is that this patent, whose application dates from 2008, provides for the inclusion of solar panels on the touch screen itself
So the user could load (or stop the download) with your mobile device easier by not having to rely on a plug and using cleaner energy.
This is a solar cell panel integrated touch sensor. This includes a solar panel that captures solar energy and switching circuits that respond both to contact and to collect energy.
In any case, as always, that Apple or another company apply for a patent does not mean that product is to be manufactured, and it may be years before something is marketed under the brand of apple.
