Apple seems to be planning the possibility of launching an iPhone with flexible screen in the future . So it seems from the patents we have met through the site Unwired View , which echo the embryonic stage of an idea that would result in a completely different design.
As we noted in the images attached, the hypothetical iPhone that would use a flexible display would have a new format, next to the cylinder, where the screen is developed side by side describing a convex line on the front. What would be seen is if the back of the device will also be equipped with capacities sensitivity.
In fact, keep the front touch pad, at least until the rush side, as we observed that the volume controls would be based on physical buttons to be attached to the device interface. They would not be the only buttons that can disappear from the device that we would see in the future. The central key Home in this patent is not, so where we have traditionally seen the iconic button now distributed five icons permanently anchored to the interface.
Apparently, the approach of this new design would respond to something very similar to what we have seen in some phones from Nokia . Specifically, the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 920 . This would be a flattened cylinder that would be cut to fit inside the technical apparatus. For the idea that Apple would handle the circuitry enter the area below and above would be subject once crimped, with the help of a screw cap, which also integrate the speaker and the front camera. The solution seems interesting, if somewhat cumbersome, if we think about how to insert the SIM card. However, this idea that you could connect with while it was raised to the effect that Apple wanted to finish regardless of the SIM card, to integrate it into the hardware itself, making an application online serve to identify the user.
Curiously, the interest on the basis of this patent shows Apple technology for flexible displays, as far is its main competitor-in the commercial and in-court, Samsung , the developer most notable of such panels. The South Korean has spent years anticipating interest in developing this technology, and during the last CES 2013 in Las Vegas and was able to show a phone that served as a screen, which has dubbed Samsung Youm . With panels Youm , Samsung can make double the display device to the borden, describing various forms, and making use of new types of design for touchscreen terminals. An example of this is seen on a computer that allowed folded like a book, which could be very interesting to get compact devices, whether smartphones or tablets.
